Student Information System
The Student Information System (SIS) department is responsible for managing and maintaining all school and system data to ensure its efficient and cost-effective use across all school operations. The SIS department works with central office and school-level staff to implement uniform practices, providing accurate information on student demographics, attendance, grade reporting, and scheduling.
In addition to managing student data, the SIS department collects and submits all necessary data for state reporting, including Full-Time Equivalency (FTE), Certified Personnel Inventory (CPI), Student Class, Pre-ID (for testing), Civil Rights Data Collection, and Student Records.
Calhoun City Schools utilizes the Student Information System Infinite Campus to electronically maintain and manage all aspects of student records. This system has proven to be an invaluable tool for teachers, parents, and students. One key feature is the Parent and Student Portal, which allows parents and students to monitor student progress and attendance daily. Another useful component is Remind, a messenger tool that enables the school system to communicate important messages to parents and school employees via telephone and email.
