PFAS Update:
Calhoun City Schools is currently in the exploratory phase of addressing concerns as it relates to the filtration of PFAS from its water sources. Although the City of Calhoun is actively working to filter PFAS from its water, Calhoun City Schools has been in discussions with Cyclopure about the potential design and installation of PFAS filters across the district. Cyclopure has offered to design and install custom filters on all water sources for CCS using DEXSORB, a safe and natural form of water filtration. Cyclopure is currently collaborating with Weaver Plumbing to evaluate the current water entry points of Calhoun City Schools and then plans to design a filtration system that will help remove PFAS from the water entering our schools. This process is in the early stages; however, we are optimistic that a solution may be found to help ensure that all water sources are safe and free of PFAS, or other harming chemicals.
