The Finance Department of Calhoun  City Schools is headed by Dee Wrisley, and is tasked with managing the finances of the city school district.  This department is imperative to the day to day functions of each school within our system and is responsible for managing payroll, budget, purchasing, facilitating internal and external audits, accounting, and investments.  The focus of the Finance Department is to provide responsible management of the community's resources for education so that educators can dedicate their time to student success.

SECTION 17 AFFIDAVITS

Section 17 of House Bill 87 amends O.C.G.A. §50-36-1 regarding verification of lawful presence in the United States.

O.C.G.A. §50-36-1(e) states that an agency or political subdivision providing or administering a public benefit shall require every applicant for such benefit to execute a signed and sworn affidavit verifying the applicant’s lawful presence in the United States. O.C.G.A. §50-36-1(e)(3) specifies that “The state auditor shall create affidavits for use under this Code section and shall keep a current version of such affidavits on the Department of Audits and Accounts’ official website.” The Department of Audits and Accounts requested the assistance of the Department of Law to draft the affidavits required by this Code section.
