CPS 2024-2025 TOTY | Calhoun Primary School is proud to announce that Mrs. Amy Wright has been selected by her peers as the Teacher of the Year for 2024-2025. This school year marks Amy’s 20th year in education, all with Calhoun City Schools. Mrs. Wright currently teaches 1st grade and is a proud graduate of Calhoun High School, class of 1998.
Mrs. Wright holds a bachelor’s and master’s degree in early childhood from Kennesaw State University and a specialist degree from Piedmont University. She also holds a math and ESOL endorsement. Amy is married to Brett Wright and they have two kids who attend CPS: Keegan (3rd grade) and Lynlee (1st grade).
Amy’s peers shared the following: "Amy works incredibly hard to help her fellow teachers in any way possible. She has been a critical part in rolling out the new math learning plans. She goes the extra mile to make sure we all have what we need. Her students adore her, and she is MOST deserving and a blessing to all she works with. Amy goes above and beyond for her students and co-workers. She always does so with a positive attitude! She makes sure her students are ready for success."
