Calhoun High School cross country traveled to Chattahoochee Hills on Saturday to compete in the Alexander/ASICS Invitational in the third varsity race of the day. Despite the afternoon heat, the boys placed 8th out of 25 teams and the girls finished 4th out of 17 teams. Demetrius Clavino won the boy's race in a time of 16:36. Carolynn Dooley led the girls and earned a medal with her 4th place finish in a time of 21:02. Walker Hurd, Riley Cooper, Leyver Mendez, and Anthony Velazquez all contributed to the team score for the boys. Giuliana Lopez, Meleana Adcock, Beyonce Brito, and Maggie Malone ran strong to secure the 4th place finish. The Jackets will race again on Thursday at Berry College in the Rome All Area Meet. #GoJackets
