CCCA student spotlight

Calhoun High School's freshman, Allison Perez, recently earned the title of Calhoun College and Career Academy (CCCA) Student of the Week. Her Freshman 101/Leadworthy instructor, Coach Tino Hernandez, nominated her for this recognition. This class, a part of CCCA, focuses on fostering leadership, social, and public speaking skills while enabling students to explore various career paths.

Allison was chosen as Student of the Week due to her unwavering commitment to academic excellence. She takes on leadership roles by assisting classmates around campus, providing translation for Spanish-speaking students, and being sociable with everyone.

Allison is a member of HOSA, a Career and Technical Student Organization (CTSO) dedicated to future healthcare professionals. HOSA's mission is to prepare its members for leadership roles in the global health community through education, collaboration, and experience. Allison's choice to join HOSA reflects her dream of becoming a doctor and her interest in caring for others.

In the future, Allison aspires to attend college and pursue a degree in the medical field, with a specific goal of becoming a nurse in the OBGYN department. Her words of wisdom are, "Never give up on what you want to succeed in, and never let others put you down."

Allison has embarked on a promising journey towards success, and we eagerly anticipate her future achievements. Congratulations to Allison for her well-deserved recognition as the CCCA Student of the Week! #CCSHeroes #DiscoverTheHeroWithinYou
