On June 13, 2024, Calhoun City and Gordon County Schools celebrated the first graduates of the Talent Connect Northwest Georgia program! 🎉 Seven seniors completed this eight-day workforce training, launched in February, and gained essential skills for local manufacturing careers.
Three grads secured jobs with program sponsors:
- Jadyn Nicholson (Evco Plastics)
- Ram Reddy (Shaw Industries)
- Maya Renfro (Gordon County Government)
Other graduates included Marvin Mazariegos, Matthew Burnette, Alex Lara-Hernandez, and Tucker Johnson, with some accepting positions in Gordon County.
