Calhoun High School’s Advanced Placement (AP) Coordinator, Madison Green, is pleased to announce the names of students who have been named AP Scholars for their performance on Advanced Placement (AP) exams for the 2024 school year. The AP Program offers several AP Scholar Awards to recognize high school students who have demonstrated college-level achievement through AP courses and exams. Calhoun High School is proud to offer 16 AP courses to our students, which is a significant number for a school of our size. This reflects the wide range of opportunities we provide, allowing students to earn college credit while still in high school. We are pleased to share that 45 of our students have been recognized as AP Scholars for 2024. These accolades are a testament to the hard work and dedication of both the students and their AP teachers.
Additionally, Calhoun High School is extremely proud of this year's AP exam pass rate, with 60% of students achieving a score of 3 or higher, marking a 5% increase from last year. This achievement is on par with state and national averages, and we aim to set the bar even higher for the 2024-2025 school year.
