Calhoun, GA – Calhoun High School proudly announces that the Class of 2024 has excelled on the SAT, surpassing national and state averages. This achievement reflects the dedication and commitment of our students, faculty, and community to academic excellence.
The average SAT score for Calhoun High School’s graduating class exceeded Georgia’s overall public-school performance, which outpaced the national average for the seventh consecutive year. This accomplishment underscores the hard work in and out of the classroom as Calhoun City Schools remains focused on student success.
“I am incredibly proud of our recent CHS graduates and their exceptional performance on the SAT,” said Principal Casey Parker. “Their success is a testament to the dedication of our entire school community in preparing students for success beyond high school.”
Statewide, Georgia public-school students recorded a mean score of 1030, exceeding the national public-school average of 995. In addition to outperforming the national average, Calhoun High School continues to prioritize academic excellence across all areas, ensuring our students are well-prepared for life after graduation.
“I am so proud of the class of 2024 and their teachers, parents, families, and the communities who supported them,” State School Superintendent Richard Woods said. “We continue to see Georgia students outpacing the national average on the SAT and ACT and that’s a testament to the work we’ve done in Georgia to invest in our students’ academic recovery post-pandemic and create opportunities in our public schools that prepare every child for life.”
