October 8, 2024 - Calhoun City Schools is proud to announce a 98.9% graduation rate for the Class of 2024, significantly surpassing the state average of 85.4%. This achievement highlights the school system’s continued commitment to academic excellence and student success.

“We are incredibly proud of Calhoun High School's Class of 2024 for achieving such a high standard of success,” said Dr. Michele Taylor, Superintendent of Calhoun City Schools. “This graduation rate reflects the unwavering commitment of our entire school community to provide every student with the tools and support they need to be successful. Calhoun High School’s Principal, Casey Parker, has implemented strategic programs and initiatives to enhance student engagement and academic success and the focus on rigorous academics; hands-on learning; Career, Technical, and Agricultural Education (CTAE) pathways; with personalized support services has created an environment where every student can thrive and graduate prepared for college, careers, and beyond."

The success of Calhoun’s Class of 2024 aligns with the positive trend of rising graduation rates across Georgia, where the statewide rate reached an all-time high of 85.4%. While Calhoun City Schools has previously achieved a 100% graduation rate for several cohorts, the district remains steadfast in maintaining high standards and supporting student success. As one of 115 Georgia school districts with a 90% or higher graduation rate, Calhoun City Schools remains dedicated to maintaining this level of excellence through innovative programs and partnerships.
