October 21, 2024 - Calhoun City Schools is proud to announce that Calhoun High School's Class of 2024 has once again demonstrated excellence in academics, as reflected in the recently released ACT scores from the Georgia Department of Education (GaDOE). The students exceeded the national average and contributed to Georgia's impressive achievement in surpassing national ACT performance for the eighth consecutive year.
Calhoun High School students achieved an average composite ACT score of 21.2, significantly above the national average of 19.4. This score aligns with Georgia's statewide average of 21.2, showcasing the hard work and commitment of our students, teachers, and families to educational excellence.

At Calhoun, we work hard to create an environment where every student can reach their full potential, and these results demonstrate that our collective efforts are paying off.”
Calhoun High School students recorded standout results in Reading, achieving an average score of 21.9, well above the national average of 20.1. Additionally, the percentage of students meeting ACT College Readiness Benchmarks across all subjects was significantly higher than national figures, particularly in English and Reading.
