GEORGIA MATCH

Calhoun High School's Class of 2025 is taking proactive steps to explore post-secondary options. Recently, seniors gathered with 12th-grade counselor Kendra Arnold for an informative session on GEORGIA MATCH, a program designed to simplify the often overwhelming college selection process by providing students with a clear roadmap for their next steps. "This program helps simplify what can be an overwhelming process by giving our students a clear direction for their next steps," said Arnold. GEORGIA MATCH identifies potential college opportunities for students based on their academic performance, offering a personalized approach to planning their future.

CHS seniors also participated in Apply to College Day and Military Careers Day as part of November's Apply to College Month. The recent event has kickstarted the Class of 2025's college application process by providing opportunities to meet with college admissions counselors and to explore military career pathways. With many Georgia colleges waiving their application fees throughout November, these initiatives have provided an ideal launch for students to explore future College and Military opportunities.

GEORGIA MATCH Simplifies the College Search Process
GEORGIA MATCH provides seniors with a curated list of colleges and universities for which they are eligible based on their HOPE GPA through 11th grade. This tool helps students quickly identify which Georgia institutions they qualify for and assists them in applying to colleges of interest. The listed colleges include institutions from the Technical College System of Georgia and the University System of Georgia, offering students a broad range of opportunities to consider. Students can then easily apply to their top choices from the personalized list on the GAfutures Student Dashboard.

Important Disclaimer
The colleges listed through GEORGIA MATCH represent provisional acceptances and do not guarantee official admission.
