Calhoun High School is proud to announce a remarkable achievement with a 100% graduation rate for the Class of 2023. This accomplishment, which exceeds both state and additional school-imposed requirements, reflects the dedication of our school and community. Dr. Michele Taylor, Superintendent, emphasizes the crucial role of educators in this success, stating, "We are fortunate to have a strong community of educators who work tirelessly to meet the needs of all of our students at Calhoun City Schools." CHS Principal Casey Parker takes pride in the Class of 2023, emphasizing that "Graduation is just the beginning for these Jackets. CHS remains committed to ensuring that all students graduate and are well-prepared for college and careers."
In conjunction with this outstanding local achievement, Georgia's high-school seniors achieved a historic graduation rate of 84.4% in 2023, marking an all-time high since the adjusted cohort calculation was introduced in 2011. Notably, 107 Georgia school districts achieved graduation rates at or above 90%, with 43 districts surpassing the 95% mark. This reflects the remarkable progress in Georgia's statewide education, with a 14.7% increase in graduation rates since 2012.
