At this time, no schedule changes are anticipated; however, should that change and a delay, early dismissal, or closure be warranted, we will notify all parties through our communication channels. 🐝 JACKETS YOUTH NIGHT 🐝 Join us this Friday (9/27) for Youth Night at the Reeve as Calhoun Football takes on Adairsville in region play! All Calhoun Community Education football, cheer, and Twirl-O-Whirl summer campers, along with Calhoun Recreation Department and SWARM football players, cheerleaders, and majorettes, are invited to participate in the pre-game excitement. Youth will have the opportunity to run through the helmet and be recognized on Hal Lamb Field! #proudtobeayellowjacket ➡ Participants should meet behind the Jumbotron near the baseball field by 6:45 PM, with recognitions starting at 7:00 PM. Wear your best black and gold and come ready to cheer on the Jackets! Kids participating will receive free entry. Parents/guardians must purchase tickets. Future businessman and CES 6th grader, Camden Reynolds, wowed the CCS System Leadership team yesterday with his presentation of an RFID tracking system for car rider pickup! Following Camden’s impressive presentation, the team discussed key topics, including the launch of our 2025-2030 strategic planning process and upcoming community events for gathering input. In partnership with GLISI, we will host our first community listening session this evening, September 5, from 6-7:30 PM at the Calhoun Depot. Every five years, Calhoun City Schools embarks on a strategic planning process to ensure we continue fostering student success in all areas, supporting the whole child. Calhoun Elementary’s Principal, Hope Stephenson, recently visited our Youngest Jackets at the CELA to read to PreK students. She brought her furry companion, Jake, to meet the Brown Bears, Khaki Koalas, and Bronze Beavers classes, who have been learning about pets. The students were excited to engage and learn through this enjoyable experience. It was a great day filled with smiles and a wagging tail! 📚🐾 United We Stand.
