student artwork

Don't miss out on this amazing chance to show your support for our local students and their artistic talents! #ExcellenceInTheArts

Join us at the Harris Arts Center for the Middle and High School Art Show, featuring artwork from students at our local middle and high schools. You're invited to an art reception honoring the students on Thursday, March 7, from 5:00 to 6:30 pm.

Organized by the Visual Arts Guild, this annual exhibit aims to highlight art education and student talent in public schools. Participating teachers and schools include Kate Johnson and Johnathan Elakman from Calhoun High School, Vince Hartel from Calhoun Middle School, Hannah Roddy from Sonoraville High School, Gabby Martin from Red Bud Middle School, Kaitlyn Wood from Gordon Central High School, and Kim Fields from Ashworth Middle School.

You can view the student art at the Harris Arts Center, located at 212 South Wall Street, until April 5. The arts center is open to the public free of charge, with operating hours on Monday from 10 am to 2 pm, Tuesday through Thursday from 10 am to 4 pm, and Friday from 10 am to 6 pm.
