The Middle School Lady Jackets softball team took to the field on Monday for their first home game of the season, facing off in a double header with the Woodland Wildcats. The varsity took an early lead in game 1 and finished strong with a 12-2 victory. Saydi Prokop struck out 7 Wildcats while only allowing 3 hits in 5 innings. Lola Mitchell and Marley Hall led the offense with 3 RBI each.
In game 2, Abby Anderson took to the mound to help lead the JV to a 9-0 finish. Lola Mitchell, Kate Poe, and Marley Hall each knocked in multiple runs to round out the offense. Both games were solid team wins. The Lady Jackets hit the dirt again this Thursday at Dellinger Park for a double-header against Cartersville Middle School. Go Jackets!
