3rd Grade enjoyed their field trip to the Booth Museum this week. Students were able to explore Native American cultures and traditions. Ms. Poarch’s class had the opportunity to create dream catchers and observe different animal skins, bones, and artifacts. Learners are now able to identify how Native Americans used animals for tools and resources. For example, students learned that deer toenails are used for shakers, deer legs were used as digging tools, and bear skin was used to warm and cover houses.
