On Tuesday, Mrs. Mary Douglas made a visit to Calhoun Primary School to share historic information regarding the Pilgrims and their voyage to America. She shared details about the long journey on the Mayflower, the early settlers' development of colonies, the Pilgrims' clothing and heritage, and events leading up to the first Thanksgiving. Students were fascinated with the attire Mrs. Mary wore and the stories she shared with them. They were excited to make comparisons to life many years ago versus today and were amazed at life before technology. Mrs. Mary Douglas is a veteran teacher of Calhoun City Schools and has shared this presentation with students for many years. It was a wonderful experience.
