🎶 BB&T Park: Performances by the CPS & CES Chorus groups
🎵 Courthouse: Performances by the CHS trio, quartet, and retired CCS educator Jule Medders
Calhoun City Schools invites community groups, local businesses, veterans, active-duty military, and families to join the parade and make this celebration one to remember!

Red Ribbon Week is approaching, and on Wednesday, October 30, we will celebrate Community Wear Red Day! This year's theme is "Life is a Movie. Film Drug Free!" We encourage all students at CELA, CPS, CES, and CMS to participate in the dress-up days to promote a drug-free lifestyle.
Next week, we will also recognize the talented winners of the "Drugs Don't Work" Art Contest, who were recently honored at the Harris Arts Center. 🏆🎨✨

VETERANS DAY EARLY RELEASE REMINDER: On Monday, November 11, 2024, Calhoun City Schools will have an early release day to honor our veterans with a special Veterans Day Parade at 1:30 PM in downtown Calhoun. We invite everyone to join us as various student groups participate in this meaningful event to pay tribute to the brave men and women who have served our great nation.
Please note that the after-school KEEP program will be closed on this day. We appreciate your continued support and understanding.

Calhoun City Schools is working closely with local agencies to monitor the potential impact of Tropical Storm/Hurricane Helene, which has the potential to impact our area later this week. At this time, no schedule changes are anticipated; however, should that change and a delay, early dismissal, or closure be warranted, we will notify all parties through our communication channels.

🐝 JACKETS YOUTH NIGHT 🐝
Join us this Friday (9/27) for Youth Night at the Reeve as Calhoun Football takes on Adairsville in region play! All Calhoun Community Education football, cheer, and Twirl-O-Whirl summer campers, along with Calhoun Recreation Department and SWARM football players, cheerleaders, and majorettes, are invited to participate in the pre-game excitement. Youth will have the opportunity to run through the helmet and be recognized on Hal Lamb Field! #proudtobeayellowjacket
➡ Participants should meet behind the Jumbotron near the baseball field by 6:45 PM, with recognitions starting at 7:00 PM. Wear your best black and gold and come ready to cheer on the Jackets! Kids participating will receive free entry. Parents/guardians must purchase tickets. K-8 students must be accompanied by an adult (18+).
